Rabbanit Tzofia Englman
Tzofia Englman, 35, proud mother of four. She is in her final stages of completing her PhD in Chemistry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She is currently a fellow in the “Interface” postdoctorate programme, which places postdoctorate students in senior government ministries. Her work there is centered on research and practical solutions to Israel’s waste management crisis. In addition, Tzofia lectures in several academic colleges around the country. She single-handedly managed her family for 180 days while her husband Yishai was in reserve duty. When Yishai was seriously injured and throughout the rehabilitation process (ongoing), Tzofia continued to manage her family, while continuing her research and being an active partner in the “Friendship of Iron” forum for the wives of wounded soldiers.

Rav Yishay is a Rabbi at the Hesder Yeshiva in Maale Adumim and a producer of popular Halacha podcasts for both kids and adults. He served 180 days of reserve combat duty as part of the 8th Brigade on the northern border and in Gaza following October 7. During operations in the Netzarim corridor, he was seriously wounded when a tank beside him rolled over an IED, sending a large piece of shrapnel through his abdomen.
Since then, Rav Yishay has been recovering and sharing his experiences, focusing on resilience, unity, and bridging divides within the Jewish people. A sought-after speaker, he has appeared on Israel’s Channel 12, Arutz 7, and other platforms.

Rav Joel Kenigsberg is the Rabbi of Beit Knesset Hanassi in Rechavia, Jerusalem. He previously served as shaliach of Mizrachi UK in Hendon where he was the Rabbi of Magen Avot and Rav Shaliach of Bnei Akiva UK. Rav Kenigsberg grew up in Johannesburg before making Aliyah after high school.
